Google has finally launched native post scheduling. You can now batch your content up to a month in advance and even sync updates across multiple locations simultaneously.

Post twice a week to win at local SEO! I challenge you to schedule 8-10 post/events/offers a month in just one session. Consistency is the key to earning more warm leads for your local business, you can accomplish this in a fast as 45 minutes a month.

Local SEO just got a massive efficiency boost. After years of business owners asking for a way to plan their content without expensive third-party tools, Google finally delivered. In November 2025—roughly 21 years after Google Local first launched—native post scheduling became a reality.

If you’ve been struggling to keep your profile active while running your business, this update is for you.

Why is Google Business Profile posting important for local SEO?

The best way to win at local search is to use your Google Business Profile (GBP) to its optimal opportunity. Most business owners overlook posting frequency.

Google rewards active profiles. When you post regularly, you send signals to Google that your business is open, relevant, and engaging with customers. For the best results, you should aim to post at least twice a week. This keeps your “What’s New” section fresh and gives potential customers a reason to choose you over a competitor with a stagnant profile.

What is the new native scheduling feature?

As of November 2025, you no longer have to log in exactly when you want a post to go live. You can now:

  • Schedule in Advance: Plan and set your posts up to a month ahead of time.

  • Multi-Location Sync: If you manage a clinic or a business with multiple locations, you can schedule a single post to go live across all your locations simultaneously from one dashboard.

  • Native Control: This is built directly into the GBP interface, meaning you don’t need to pay for external social media management software just to handle your Google presence.

How do you schedule a post natively in Google

Scheduling is simple and integrated into your existing workflow:

  1. Open your Profile: Access your business via Google Search or the Maps app.

  2. Create an Update: Click on “Add update,” “Add offer,” or “Add event.”

  3. Craft your Content: Add your photo, description, and a Call-to-Action (CTA) button.

  4. Toggle the Schedule: Instead of hitting “Post” immediately, look for the “Schedule this post” toggle.

  5. Pick your Time: Select the specific date and time you want the post to go live.

How will this save you time?

Before this update, maintaining a twice-a-week posting cadence meant interrupted workflows or relying on the “Event” hack to keep posts visible. Now, you can sit down for 30 minutes once a month, batch-create your 8-10 posts, and “set it and forget it.”

For multi-location owners, the “poof” factor is real—you can save hours of manual duplication by pushing updates to every storefront in a single click.

Recommended Character Count: 300-750 words. (This allows you to expand on specific post ideas, like “Offer” posts vs. “What’s New” updates, to provide even more value to your readers.) Are you ready to automate your local presence, or are you still posting manually?
